Rod End Load Cell Force Sensor FCL is made of stainless steel based on strain gauge technology offering 100N / 200N / 300N / 500N / 1kN / 2kN / 3kN / 5kN / 10kN / 20kN / 30kN / 50kN rated capacities intended for both tension and compression force measurement. The threaded rod on the top of the sensor can be used to mount attachments such as load buttons and eye bolts for different applications. Compared to universal side cable outlet, force transducer FCL adopts bottom cable outlet which helps save the mounting space, tension compression load cell FCL is suitable for in-line force measurement. Model FCL can be modified or customized as per request of clients or different applications.

A Force Sensor is a transducer that converts mechanical load into mV signal proportional to the applied force.The acting force causes deformation of the measuring element,the bonded strain gage deforms accordingly which will cause the resistance change of the wheatstone bridge,under constant power supply, the output signal between Sig+ and Sig- will change proportionally,thus the load/force can be measured by measuring the output signal from the transducer.
Load cell output: = (Power supply * Rated output) * Load / Capacity
Rated output is normally within 1mV/V~3mV/V.
Power supply is normally within 3-15V.
Load / Capacity is within 0-1.
So the load cell output signal is normally within 0-45mV(-45mV...+45mV for bidirectional load cell).
Example one: FCL-300N with 1.5mV/V rated output powered by 3.3V DC,the output range is -4.95mV...+4.95mV(Tension and compression).
Example two: FCL-100N with 1.5mV/V rated output powered by 10V DC,the output range is -15mV...+15mV(Tension and compression).
A signal conditioner is normally used with the load cell to deliver -5~5V, 0-10V or 4-20mA output for easy data processing:
Example: FCL-500N working with -5-5V amplifier,the load-output relationship will be 0-500N compression load VS 0-5V output,0-500N tension load VS 0-(-5V) output,when you get 2V output,it means the current load is 200N compression force,when you get -1V output,it means the current load is 100N tension force,and so on.
