Low Profile Compression Load Cell FCMP is made of stainless steel based on foil strain gauge technology to deliver 2.0mV/V rated output proportional to the applied force.Low height compression load cell FCMP offers 0.5kN / 1kN / 2kN / 3kN four different measuring ranges with maximum 0.3% non-linearity of the full scale intended for both static and dynamic force measurement, pancake load cell FCMP can be used for both tension and compression measurement,low profile structure makes it also suitable for in-line force monitoring. Force Sensor FCMP is designed with a M8x1.25 threaded hole running through the center of the transducer which can be used to mount attachments such as load buttons,eye bolts or other adapters for force loading,this makes spoke type load cells very adaptable to various cases,you may find pancake type load cell FCMP applicable for force measurement in injection-molding machines, hand press machines and material testing equipment and so on. Model FCMP can also be modified or customized as per client's request.

A Load Cell is a transducer that converts mechanical load into mV signal proportional to the applied force.The acting force causes deformation of the measuring element,the bonded strain gage deforms accordingly which will cause the resistance change of the wheatstone bridge,under constant power supply, the output signal between Sig+ and Sig- will change proportionally,thus the load/force can be measured by measuring the output signal from the transducer.
Load cell output: = (Power supply * Rated output) * Load / Capacity
Rated output is normally within 1mV/V~3mV/V.
Power supply is normally within 3-15V.
Load / Capacity is within 0-1.
So the load cell output signal is normally within 0-45mV(-45mV...+45mV for bidirectional load cell).
Example one: FCMP-1kN with 2.0mV/V rated output powered by 3.3V DC,the output range is -6.6mV...+6.6mV(Tension and compression).
Example two: FCMP-3kN with 2.0mV/V rated output powered by 10V DC,the output range is -20mV...+20mV(Tension and compression).
A signal conditioner is normally used with the load cell to deliver -5~5V, 0-10V or 4-20mA output for easy data processing:
Example: FCMP-2kN working with -10-10V amplifier,the load-output relationship will be 0-2000N compression load VS 0-10V output,0-2000N tension load VS 0-(-10V) output.
