Miniature 3-axis Load Cell F3N is designed to measure both tension and compression load in Fx/Fy/Fz axis. Three independent wheatstone bridges are bonded on corresponding beams to deliver mV output proportional to the applied force, 0-5V / 0-10V / 4-20mA output is available through multi-channel amplifier LC3A. Small size Multi-axis Force Sensor F3N offers 1kgf / 2kgf / 5kgf / 10kgf / 20kgf / 50kgf / 100kgf seven rated capacities for all 3 axes. Miniature triaxial load cell F3N utilizes 1000 ohms high resistance bridge, this makes it consume less power and suitable for battery powered measuring systems. Typical applications for multi-axis sensor F3N are for example friction force measurement, force simulation in medical rehabilitation equipment, force feedback in robotics, force monitoring in handing devices, mechanical anti-collision, and so on.

3-axis force load cell F3N measures forces simultaneously in 3 mutually perpendicular axes: X, Y, and Z – tension and compression. Each axis provides a full bridge output proportional to the applied force and requires no mathematical manipulation. The acting force causes deformation of the elastomer, the bonded strain gauge deforms accordingly which will cause the resistance change of the wheatstone bridge, under constant power supply, the output signal between Sig+ and Sig- will change proportionally, thus the load/force can be measured by measuring the output signal from the transducer.
Load cell output: = (Power supply * Rated output) * Load / Capacity
Rated output of triaxial force sensor F3N is around 1.0mV/V.
Power supply of 3-axis load cell F3N is normally within 3-15V.
Load / Capacity is within 0-1.
So the output range of Multi-axis Force Sensor F3N is normally within -15mV...+15mV for bidirectional force measurement in each axis.
Example: Multi axis load cell F3N-500N with 1.0mV/V sensitivity powered by 10V DC, the output range is -10mV...+10mV.
A multi-channel signal conditioner can be used with 3D transducer F3N to deliver -5~5V, 0-10V or 4-20mA output.
Example: 3-axis force sensor F3N-1kN working with LC3A(-10-10V)-24V amplifier, the Force-Voltage relationship in each axis will be 0-1kN load in Fx+/Fy+/Fz+ direction VS 0-10V output, 0-1kN load in Fx-/Fy-/Fz- direction VS 0-(-10V) output, which is linear regardless of the measurement error.
