Flange Type Load Cell FFQ is made of stainless steel utilizing strain gauge technology to deliver mV/V output from the full wheatstone bridge. Flange Type Force Sensor FFQ offers 0-500N / 0-1kN / 0-2kN / 0-3kN / 0-5kN / 0-10kN / 0-20kN / 0-30kN / 0-50kN / 0-100kN ten rated measuring ranges to choose from, Column type force transducer FFQ is designed for both traction and compression force measurement with flange-to-flange configuration. Flange Mounted Force Sensor FFQ is suitable for applications such as robot grinding force monitoring, cylinder thrust measurement, assembly force monitoring, bearing press fit measurement, welding clamping force control, hand press force verification, injection molding machine extrusion force measurement and so on. In addition to the standard specifications, Forsentek is also capable of and willing to provide load cell custom design service to meet requirements of different applications.

A Force Sensor is a transducer that converts mechanical load into mV signal proportional to the applied force.The acting force causes deformation of the measuring element,the bonded strain gage deforms accordingly which will cause the resistance change of the wheatstone bridge,under constant power supply, the output signal between Sig+ and Sig- will change proportionally,thus the load/force can be measured by measuring the output signal from the transducer.
Output signal of load cell:
Load cell output: = (Power supply * Rated output) * Load / Capacity
Rated output of Flanged Force Transducer FFQ is normally around 1.5mV/V.
Power supply of Flange Type Force Sensor FFQ is normally within 3-15V.
Load / Capacity is within 0-1.
So the output range of Traction/Compression Force Sensor FFQ is normally within -22.5mV…+22.5mV.
Example one: Tensile compressive force transducer FFQ-20kN with 1.5mV/V sensitivity powered by 10V DC,the output range is -15mV...+15mV.
Example two: Tension And Compression Load Cell FFQ-30kN with 1.4mV/V rated output powered by 5V DC,the output range is -7mV...+7mV.
The mV/V output from the wheatstone bridge sometimes can hardly be processed directly, a signal conditioner can be used with the load cell to deliver -5~5V, 0-10V or 4-20mA output.
Example one: Flange Type Tension Compression Sensor FFQ-50kN working with amplifier FSC(-10-10V)-24V,the Load-Voltage relationship will be 0-50kN compression force VS 0-10V output, 0-50kN tensile force VS 0-(-10V) output, which is linear regardless of the measurement error, 1V output corresponds to 5kN compressive load, (-2V) output corresponds to 10kN tension load, and so on.
Example two: Column Type Tension and Compression Load Cell FFQ-100kN working with amplifier FSC(4-12-20mA)-24V,the Force-Current relationship will be 0-100kN compression force VS 12-20mA output, 0-100kN tension force VS 12-4mA, which is linear regardless of the measurement error, 12mA output corresponds to “0” load, 12.8mA output corresponds to 10kN compressive load, 8mA output corresponds to 50kN tensile load, and so on.
