Subminiature Force Sensor FC8E is made of stainless steel based on metal foil stain gauge technology intended for compression force measurement. 1000 ohms high resistance strain gauge delivers better stability compared to commonly used 350ohms gauges, miniature load cell FC8E offers 50N / 100N / 200N / 500N four measuring ranges to choose from.Small size button load cell FC8E is featured with only 8mm outer diameter and 6mm total height which makes it extremely suitable for force measurement applications with limited mounting space.Typical applications for transducer FC8E are such as clamping force measuremen,force overload protection,load distribution analysis,pressing die force measurement,auto equipment,assembly line and so on.

A Load Cell is a transducer that converts force acting on it into electronic signal which is proportional to the applied force.The acting force causes deformation of the measuring element,the bonded strain gauge deforms accordingly which will cause the resistance change of the wheatstone bridge,under constant power supply,the output signal between Sig+ and Sig- will change proportionally,thus the force can be measured by measuring the output signal from the load cell which is normally within 0...+10mV for model FC8E. A signal conditioner can be used to convert mV signal into 0-5V / 0-10V / 4-20mA output, taking FC8E-500N working with amplifier FSC(0-5V)-24V for example, the force-voltage relationship will be 0-500N load VS 0-5V voltage, 1V corresponds to 100N load, 2V voltage corresponds to 200N force,and so on.
