Compression Type Load Cell Force Sensor FCMA is made of high stiffness alloy steel based on foil strain gauge technology to deliver 2.0mV/V rated output proportional to the applied force.Pancake load cell FCMA offers 30kg / 50kg / 100kg / 200kg / 300kg / 500kg / 1000kg seven different measuring ranges with maximum 0.1% non-linearity of the rated output to choose from intended for both static and dynamic force measurement, low profile load cell FCMA can be used for both tension and compression measurement,low profile structure makes it also suitable for in-line force monitoring.Model FCMA is designed with a M16x1.5 threaded hole running through the center of the transducer which can be used to mount attachments such as load buttons,eye bolts or other adapters for force loading, which makes spoke type load cells very adaptable to various cases,you may find pancake type load cell FCMA applicable for force measurement in injection-molding machines,press machines and material testing equipment,weight measurement for tanks,vessels and hoppers, and so on.

A load cell sensor is a transducer that converts a load or force acting on it into electronic signal which is proportional to the load(or force) being applied.The measured load or force causes deformation of the measuring element(elastic body),the bonded strain gauge deforms accordingly which will cause the resistance change of the wheatstone bridge,under constant power supply,the output signal between Sig+ and Sig- will change proportionally,thus the load/force can be measured by measuring the output signal from the load cell.

Load cell output: = (Power supply * Rated output) * Load / Capacity
Rated output is normally within 1mV/V~3mV/V.
Power supply is normally within 3-15V.
Load / Capacity is within 0-1.
So the load cell output signal is normally within 0-45mV(-45mV...+45mV for bidirectional load cell).
Example one: 2.0mV/V load cell with 10V power supply,the output range is 0~20mV (-20mV...+20mV for bidirectional sensor).
Example two: 1.0mV/V load cell with 5V power supply,the output range is 0~5mV (-5mV...+5mV for bidirectional sensor).

Load cell + Signal amplifier:
Load cell normally outputs -30mV...+30mV which sometimes cannot be recognized by signal processing units directly,so signal conditioner is introduced to convert mV signal into 0-5V/0-10V/4-20mA for easy signal processing.
Example: 10kg compression load cell working with 0-10V amplifier,the load-output relationship will be 0-10kg load VS 0-10V output,it is linear within the error range.

Load cell + Digital indicator
Digital indicator can work directly with load cell without signal amplifier,here are some functions from the indicator:
-Display force value in real time
-Peak holding to grab the maximum force during testing
-RS485 or RS232 interface
-0-5V/0-10V/4-20mA analog output
-Switch output
