Stainless steel single point load cell FHPR offers 50kg / 100kg / 200kg / 300kg / 500kg five rated capacities and is corner error trimmed for platform sizes up to 500x500mm, this makes it suitable for platform weighing scales where off-center load may exist. Weight sensor FHPR is IP68 hermetically sealed to protect the internal strain gauges and circuitry from harsh environments, typical applications include bagging and filling machines, food and pharmaceutical industry, small bucket and hopper weighing systems, and so on. You may find model FHPR interchangeable with Mettler toledo SSH, ANYLOAD 651KS22, VPG Tedea Huntleigh 1510, Hardy HISP7, Minebea intec PR 58, Groupfour CLTD 4030 and Flintec PC7.

A Load Cell is a transducer that converts mechanical load into electrical signal which is proportional to the load being applied.The measured load or force causes deformation of the measuring element(elastic body),the bonded strain gauge deforms accordingly which will cause the resistance change of the wheatstone bridge,under constant power supply, the output signal between Sig+ and Sig- will change proportionally, thus the load/force can be measured by measuring the output signal from the load cell which is normally within 0-30mV for model FHPR. Overloading is the most common cause of loadcell failure, and it is irreversible.A load sensor is just like a spring in certain aspects, which will be damaged if overstretched or overloaded, so prevent the transducer from bending too much is the important part. A machanical stop to prevent excessive deformation of the sensor body can be used for overloading protection, the deformation space can be determined by loading the sensor with rated capacity, then adjust the meachnical stop to reach the bottom of the transducer. In most cases, the load transducer will be used to measure load much smaller than the rated capacity, thus the deformation space can be adjusted using reference load which is a bit higher than the maximum load to be measured instead of the rated capacity.
