Low Profile Thru Hole Reaction Torque Sensor FTHB is made of stainless steel based on strain gauge technology to deliver maximum 0.3% non-linearity of the rated output, Through Hole Torque Transducer FTHB offers 5NM/10NM two standard measuring ranges to choose from. Besides the standard specifications, model FTHB can also be modified or customzied as per clients' requirements. Low profile through hole design, flange to flange mounting, which enables FTHB to be easily mounted with servo or stepper motor and get the rotating torque measured.

A torque sensor is a transducer that converts mechanical torque into mV signal proportional to the applied torque.The acting torsion causes deformation of the measuring element,the bonded strain gage deforms accordingly which will cause the resistance change of the wheatstone bridge.A Wheatstone bridge is a network of four resistive legs. One or more of these legs can be active sensing elements. The Wheatstone bridge is the electrical equivalent of two parallel voltage divider circuits. R1 and R2 compose one voltage divider circuit, and R4 and R3 compose the second voltage divider circuit. The output of a Wheatstone bridge is measured between the middle nodes of the two voltage dividers.Under constant power supply, the output signal between Sig+ and Sig- will change proportionally,thus the moment can be measured by measuring the output signal from the transducer.The output range of reaction torque sensor FTHB is normally within -20mV...+20mV, signal amplification may be required for most applications, a signal conditioner can be used to get -5~5V, 0-10V or 4-20mA output for easy data processing.
