Miniature Flange Mounted Tension Compression Sensor FFJ is made of stainless steel utilizing strain gauge technology intended for both tension and compression force measurement, high accuracy with maximum 0.1% non-linearity of the full scale. Micro Cylindrical Load Cell FFJ offers 0-5kg / 0-10kg / 0-20kg / 0-30kg / 0-50kg (0-50N / 0-100N / 0-200N / 0-300N / 0-500N) five rated capacities to choose from. One end with flanged surface, the other end with M3 threaded hole,which makes miniature force transducer FFJ can be easily mounted to mechanical parts and get force measurement done. Stainless steel construction, compact size, bidirectional force measurement, high accuracy, Column Type Force Sensor FFJ offers a perfect mixture for applications such as wire tension control, force distribution analysis, automated control, cylinder thrust measurement, assembly force monitoring, spring testing, connector insertion and extraction force measurement and so on. A Force Sensor is a transducer that converts mechanical load into mV signal proportional to the applied force.The acting force causes deformation of the measuring element,the bonded strain gage deforms accordingly which will cause the resistance change of the wheatstone bridge,under constant power supply, the output signal between Sig+ and Sig- will change proportionally,thus the load/force can be measured by measuring the output signal from the transducer.
Load cell output: = (Power supply * Rated output) * Load / Capacity
Rated output of Micro Force Sensor FFJ is around 2.0mV/V.
Power supply of Miniature Column Type Force Transducer FFJ is normally within 3-15V.
Load / Capacity is within 0-1.
So the output range of Miniature Tension Compression Sensor FFJ is normally within -30mV...+30mV for bidirectional force measurement.
Example one: Miniature cylindrical traction/compression load cell FFJ-100N with 2.0mV/V sensitivity powered by 5V DC,the output range is -10mV...+10mV.
Example two: Micro Column Type Compression And Traction Force Sensor FFJ-50N with 2.0mV/V sensitivity powered by 10V DC,the output range is -20mV...+20mV.
A signal conditioner can be used with force transducer FFJ to deliver -5~5V, 0-10V or 4-20mA output.
Example one: Miniature tension compression load cell FFJ-100N working with 4-12-20mA amplifier,the Force-Current relationship will be 0-100N compression load VS 12-20mA output, 0-10kg traction load VS 12-4mA output, which is linear regardless of the measurement error. Namely 12mA output corresponds to “0” load, 12.8mA output corresponds to 10N compressive load, 8mA output corresponds to 50N tensile load, and so on.
Example two: Miniature Compression Traction Load Cell FFJ-50N working with -5-5V amplifier,the Force-Voltage relationship will be 0-50N compression load VS 0-5V output,0-50N traction load VS 0-(-5V) output, which is linear regardless of the measurement error. When you get 1V output,it means the current load is 10N compression force,when you get -2V output,it means the current load is 20N tensile force,and so on.
