Miniature Column Load Cell FLAE is made of stainless steel utilizing strain gauge technology to deliver maximum 0.2% non-linearity of rated output. Micro Cylindrical Load Cell FLAE offers 0-1kg / 0-2kg / 0-5kg / 0-10kg / 0-20kg five rated capacities to choose from. M3 threaded holes located on two sides of the transducer can be used to mount attachments or implements to adapt to different force measurement cases, miniature column type traction and compression load cell FLAE can be used for both tension and compression force measurement. Stainless steel construction, compact size, bidirectional force measurement, high accuracy, Micro Force Compression And Traction Load Cell FLAE offers a perfect mixture for applications such as wire tension control, force distribution analysis, automated control, cylinder thrust measurement, assembly force monitoring, spring testing, ultrasonic welding clamp force control and so on. A Force Sensor is a transducer that converts mechanical load into mV signal proportional to the applied force.The acting force causes deformation of the measuring element,the bonded strain gage deforms accordingly which will cause the resistance change of the wheatstone bridge,under constant power supply, the output signal between Sig+ and Sig- will change proportionally,thus the load/force can be measured by measuring the output signal from the transducer.
Load cell output: = (Power supply * Rated output) * Load / Capacity
Rated output of miniature Column Load Cell FLAE is around 2.0mV/V.
Power supply of micro column force sensor FLAE is normally within 3-12V.
Load / Capacity is within 0-1.
So the output range of miniature Traction Force Transducer FLAE is normally within -24mV...+24mV for tension/compression force measurement.
Example one:Miniature Push/Pull Load Cell FLAE-100N with 2.0mV/V sensitivity powered by 5V DC,the output range is -10mV...+10mV.
Example two: Micro traction and compression force sensor FLAE-50N with 2.0mV/V sensitivity powered by 10V DC,the output range is -20mV...+20mV.
A signal conditioner can be used with the load cell to deliver -5~5V, 0-10V or 4-20mA output.
Example: Miniature tension compression load cell FLAE-100N working with 4-12-20mA amplifier,the Force-Current relationship will be 0-100N compression load VS 12-20mA output, 0-100N traction load VS 12-4mA output, which is linear regardless of the measurement error. Namely 12mA output corresponds to “0” load, 12.8mA output corresponds to 10N compressive load, 8mA output corresponds to 50N tensile load, and so on.
Example: Miniature Compression Traction Load Cell FLAE-10N working with -10-10V amplifier,the Force-Voltage relationship will be 0-10N compression load VS 0-10V output,0-10N traction load VS 0-(-10V) output, which is linear regardless of the measurement error. When you get 5V output,it means the current load is 5N compression force,when you get -1V output,it means the current load is 1N tensile force,and so on.
