Miniature Tension Load Cell FSSG offers a compact design for a variety of applications. the S Beam Load Cell series provides accuracy, compact design features.The miniature s-beam load cell FSSG utilizes metal foil strain gauge technology to deliver 2.0mV/V output with maximum 0.2% non-linearity of the rated output,the compact design enables the FSSG to be easily embedded into machinery or test equipment – ideal for packaging machinery, assembly machinery or end-of-line test equipment. The sensor features M8 threaded holes on two sides for the mounting of attachments or implements, this micro force sensor can be used for both tension and compression force measurement in applications with limited space. Small size tension force sensor FSSG is widely used for force gauges, tension meters, switch insertion force measurement, keyboard testing, spring testing, syringe testing, touchpad testing, cylinder thrust measurement and so on. S type load cell FSSG offers 0-500N / 0-1kN / 0-2kN three different measuring ranges to choose from, besides the standard specifications, transducer FSSG can also be modified or customized according to clients' requirements.

A Force Sensor is a transducer that converts mechanical load into mV signal proportional to the applied force.The acting force causes deformation of the measuring element,the bonded strain gage deforms accordingly which will cause the resistance change of the wheatstone bridge,under constant power supply, the output signal between Sig+ and Sig- will change proportionally,thus the load/force can be measured by measuring the mV/V output signal from the wheatstone bridge of the transducer.
Load cell output: = (Power supply * Rated output) * Load / Capacity
Rated output is normally within 1mV/V~3mV/V.
Power supply is normally within 3-15V.
Load / Capacity is within 0-1.
So the load cell output signal is normally within 0-45mV(-45mV...+45mV for bidirectional load cell).
Example one: S type load cell FSSG-500N with 2.0mV/V sensitivity powered by 3.3V DC,the output range is -6.6mV...+6.6mV.
Example two: S beam force sensor FSSG-2kN with 2.0mV/V sensitivity powered by 5V DC,the output range is -10mV...+10mV.
A signal conditioner can be used with the load cell to deliver -5~5V, 0-10V or 4-20mA output.
Example: FSSG-1kN working with amplifier FSC(-10-10V)-24V, the Force-Voltage relationship will be 0-1000N compression load VS 0-10V output, 0-1000N tension load VS 0-(-10V) output,5V voltage corresponds to 500N compression load, -3V voltage corresponds to 300N tension force,and so on.
