2-axis force sensor F2Y is made based on strain gauge technology offering 1kg / 2kg / 5kg / 10kg / 20kg / 30kg / 50kg / 100kg eight rated capacities for Fx/Fy two-dimensional force measurement. Both axes support tension and compression force measurement. 2-axis load cell F2Y can work with our 2-channel load cell amplifier LC2A to deliver 0-5V / 0-10V / 4-20mA output that is proportional to the force applied. Biaxial load cell is typically used for force measurement and control in actuators, force simulators, operating levers. Model F2Y can be modified or customized upon request to suit different applications.

2-axis sensor F2Y measures forces simultaneously in Fx and Fy axis. Each axis provides a full bridge output proportional to the applied force and requires no mathematical manipulation. The acting force causes deformation of the elastomer, the bonded strain gauge deforms accordingly which will cause the resistance change of the wheatstone bridge, under constant power supply, the output signal between Sig+ and Sig- will change proportionally, thus the load/force can be measured by measuring the output signal from the transducer.
Load cell output: = (Power supply * Rated output) * Load / Capacity
Rated output of biaxial force sensor F2Y is normally within 1.0-1.5mV/V.
Power supply of 2-axis load cell F2Y is normally within 3-12V.
Load / Capacity is within 0-1.
So the output range of Multi-axis Force Sensor F2Y is normally within -18mV...+18mV for bidirectional force measurement in each axis.
Example: Multi axis load cell F2Y-20kg with 1.0mV/V sensitivity powered by 5V DC, the output range is -5mV...+5mV.
A multi-channel signal conditioner can be used with biaxial force sensor F2Y to deliver -5~5V, 0-10V or 4-20mA output.
Example: 2-axis force sensor F2Y-10kg working with LC3A(-10-10V)-24V amplifier, the Force-Voltage relationship in each axis will be 0-10kg load in Fx+/Fy+ direction VS 0-10V output, 0-10kg load in Fx-/Fy- direction VS 0-(-10V) output, which is linear regardless of the measurement error.
