Miniature S Type Load Cell FSSQ offers a compact design for a variety of applications. the S Beam Load Cell series provides accuracy, compact design features, and 5 capacity ranges 2.2lb / 4.4lb / 11lb / 22lb / 45lb to choose from.The jr s-beam load cell FSSQ utilizes metal foil strain gauge technology to deliver 2.0mV/V output with maximum 0.2% non-linearity,the compact design enables the FSSQ to be easily embedded into machinery or test equipment – ideal for packaging machinery, assembly machinery or end-of-line test equipment.The Micro S-Beam Force Transducer FSSQ features M2 threaded holes on two sides for the mounting of attachments or implements for both tension and compression force measurement in applications with limited space.

A Force Sensor is a transducer that converts mechanical load into mV signal proportional to the applied force.The acting force causes deformation of the measuring element,the bonded strain gage deforms accordingly which will cause the resistance change of the wheatstone bridge,under constant power supply, the output signal between Sig+ and Sig- will change proportionally,thus the load/force can be measured by measuring the output signal from the transducer.

Load cell output: = (Power supply * Rated output) * Load / Capacity
Rated output of S-beam load cell FSSQ is around 2.0mV/V.
Power supply of S type force sensor FSSQ is normally within 3-12V.
Load / Capacity is within 0-1.
So the output range of S beam force transducer FSSQ is normally within -24mV...+24mV for tension and compression force measurement.

A load cell amplifier can be used to convert mV signal into -5-5V / 0-10V / 4-20mA for easy signal processing,taking FSSQ-10N and FSC(-5-5V)-24V for example,the load-voltage relationship will be 0-10N compression load VS 0-5V output, 0-10N tension load VS 0-(-5V) output,which is linear regardless of the measurement error.
